I've just been playing my a1.2.6 world, and I was thinking about how I rarely listen to the in-game music anymore. I've got nothing against the game's soundtrack, but most times I play I have the music turned all the way down in settings and an album on Spotify playing in the background. Lately, Michael Hurley's "Wolfways" has been my go-to.
Do you guys listen to other music, or do you stick to the game's soundtrack
I don't really think about it to be honest... on quite a few of my instances i've disabled music for one reason or another and just... forgot to turn it back on. Nothing could ever beat hearing c418 while building though <3
yeah i don't often play minecraft without something else going in the background, which is funny because occasionally c418 music will pop up anyway while i'm listening to my playlist in a different window
hero... brian...? i'm thinkin' i like that name...
I pretty much always play with some kind of music going. I think these days we generally require more stimulation, and the infrequent music that Minecraft normally has isn't enough. I'll just list some of the stuff I like to listen to while I play:
- All C418 albums
- Hania Rani
- GoGo Penguin
- Nujabes
- Elder
- Kadovar occasionally
- Gregory and the Hawk occasionally
- This one Nintendo playlist I like, but I reserve that for special moments

I'll have to check some of those out, I'm always up for listening to new music. Thanks for sharing!
i have phases where i play with nothing but the in-game music, but i generally disable it and play my own. sometimes i'll even just play the minecraft soundtrack outside the game so its more frequent lol

same here. though i find myself turning off my music sometimes to play in silence and it's always a pleasant surprise when something like dry hands starts playing :]
I don't remember the last time I played with minecraft's music on. At most ill play the C418 soundtracks on Spotify (cause no delay between songs), otherwise it's some non-minecraft playlist on Spotify.
