Do you lose bubbles (as if youre in water holding your breath) or does it not recognize you being in water at all?

I want to play with people whom I can befriend, not just any open beta server full of random people who dont talk.
Preferably it would be nice if its beta 1.7.3 but I dont mind older versions either. By vanilla I mean no new content, I dont mind essentials and such.

What is the texture pack's name?

• a1.1.2_01 because of the old world gen and neon green grass and no biomes

• b1.5_02 because b1.6 added grass

• b1.7.3 because its the best minecraft version

• r1.6.4 because its before they removed large oceans and because of the nostalgia factor

• and the latest release
