[a1.2.6] My first statue!

Post by OnTheHill »

Just spent the last few in-game days putting together this Steve statue. I've been playing this Alpha 1.2.6 for almost two months and this has been my biggest build yet. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I've built it right next to my town at world spawn ("Marshtown"). I'm not sure what to build next so if anyone has any ideas let me know!

Across the lake to the right of that is a cliff face. I thought about doing something like Mount Rushmore on there, but I don't know if it will be big enough. I'll have to sail over there and snoop around

That looks really cool!
Just out of curiosity, what texture pack are you using?

It's actually one I made myself! It's called NESified. The texture are recoloured using the Nintendo Entertainment System colour palette. There are a few cool alterations, like Nintendo-themed paintings and armour, too. I made it not long before I started this world for a1.2.2 but it works fine for a1.2.6 too!

If you want to try it out here's the link!

I've actually been meaning to update that page with some screenshots of the armour textures. A lot of the textures reference Nintendo characters; the skin texture is based on Link's sprite in the original Legend Of Zelda. Each set of armour references a different Nintendo character too!

Not sure what spurred me on to make it but I haven't taken it off since I started using it, so I'm glad I am getting some use from it at least!
